What makes Kintsugi different

Education, not advice

We teach concepts and frameworks so you can make your own informed decisions — we never push financial products.

Practical, worksheet-led

Every session uses real templates you fill in with your own numbers — no abstract theory, just tools that work at home.

Conversational, not prescriptive

Sessions are built around dialogue. You ask questions, we explain. No lectures, no jargon overload.

Multiple formats

From a focused four-session group to a year-long household programme — choose what suits your schedule and learning style.

Private and confidential

Your financial details stay with you. Coaching sessions are private, and group workshops focus on general frameworks rather than personal figures.

Rooted in Kuala Lumpur

Content is adapted to Malaysian household contexts — cost of living, common expenses, local financial habits, and Ringgit-based examples throughout.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between the workshop and the coaching package?
The workshop is a group setting — you learn alongside other participants using shared materials and general examples. The coaching package is one-to-one; sessions are built around your actual household figures and your specific questions. Both are purely educational. Neither provides personal financial advice.
Do I need any prior knowledge of budgeting or finance?
No background is needed. All three programmes are designed for participants who are starting from scratch or who have tried budgeting before without a clear system. We explain every concept before applying it.
Are sessions held in person or online?
Group workshops are held at our Jalan Stonor location in Kuala Lumpur. One-to-one coaching sessions can take place in person or via video call, depending on your preference. The annual curriculum combines monthly live online sessions with in-person quarterly check-ins where possible.
How much do the programmes cost, and are there payment options?
The Budget Workshop Series is RM 480, One-to-One Coaching is RM 2,150, and the Annual Household Curriculum is RM 4,580. Payment arrangements for the longer programmes can be discussed when you enquire — please contact us for details.
Will my financial details be shared with anyone?
No. Any figures you work with during coaching sessions remain between you and your coach. Group workshops do not ask for personal financial figures — all exercises use your own notes privately. We do not share, sell, or use participant data for any purpose beyond programme delivery.
When do the next workshops start?
Workshop intake dates vary. The best way to find out about upcoming sessions is to contact us directly. We run workshops in small cohorts and can also arrange group sessions for organisations or workplace teams on request.
