Important: Kintsugi provides general financial education only. Nothing on this website or in any of our programmes constitutes financial advice, investment guidance, or a recommendation to take any specific financial action. These terms govern the provision of educational services.
1. About Kintsugi
Kintsugi operates as a provider of general financial education based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Our registered address is Jalan Stonor 27, 50450 Kuala Lumpur. We may be contacted at [email protected] or by phone at +60 3 2148 7396.
By using this website or enrolling in any of our programmes, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully before submitting an enquiry or making a payment.
2. Nature of our services
All programmes offered by Kintsugi are educational in nature. They are designed to improve financial literacy and budgeting skills. They do not constitute, and should not be interpreted as:
- Financial advice under the Capital Markets and Services Act 2007
- Investment advisory services
- Credit counselling or debt management services
- Tax advice or accounting services
- Legal advice of any kind
Our educators teach budgeting frameworks, household money concepts, and general financial literacy. They do not make recommendations about specific financial products, investments, loans, or insurance.
3. Programmes and pricing
Kintsugi currently offers the following programmes:
- Personal Budget Workshop Series — RM 480 per participant (4 group sessions)
- One-to-One Budget Coaching Sessions — RM 2,150 per participant (6 private sessions)
- Annual Household Money Curriculum — RM 4,580 per household enrolment (12-month programme)
Prices are stated in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR) and include all materials, worksheets, and recordings described in the programme description. Prices are subject to change. The price confirmed at the time of your enrolment is binding.
4. Enrolment and payment
Enrolment is confirmed upon receipt of full payment unless a payment plan has been expressly agreed in writing by Kintsugi. Payment details and available methods will be provided upon enquiry. Enrolment places are subject to availability and are not confirmed until payment is received.
Receipts will be issued by email within 3 working days of payment. If you do not receive a receipt, please contact [email protected].
5. Cancellations and rescheduling
Cancellations by participants
- Cancellations made 14 or more days before the first scheduled session: full refund minus any applicable payment processing fees.
- Cancellations made 7 to 13 days before the first session: 50% of the programme fee will be refunded.
- Cancellations made fewer than 7 days before the first session: no refund is available. Where possible, we will offer a transfer to a future cohort at our discretion.
- For the Annual Household Money Curriculum: once the programme has commenced, no refund is available for the remaining months.
Rescheduling
Participants may request to reschedule individual sessions with at least 48 hours' notice. Rescheduled sessions are subject to availability. Kintsugi does not guarantee that alternative time slots will be available within any specific timeframe.
Cancellations by Kintsugi
In the event that Kintsugi cancels a programme due to unforeseen circumstances, enrolled participants will be offered either a full refund or a transfer to a future cohort. Kintsugi is not liable for any other costs incurred as a result of a cancellation.
6. Programme conduct
All participants are expected to engage with sessions respectfully and in accordance with the educational purpose of the programme. Kintsugi reserves the right to remove a participant from a programme without refund if their conduct is disruptive, disrespectful, or inconsistent with the group learning environment.
Group workshop sessions involve multiple participants. Participants should not share other participants' personal information, comments, or details outside the session.
7. Materials and recordings
Worksheets, templates, and recordings provided as part of a programme are for the personal use of the enrolled participant only. They may not be redistributed, resold, or shared in any form without written permission from Kintsugi.
Session recordings are made available for participants to replay for their own reference. Participants must not record sessions independently without the prior agreement of Kintsugi and, where applicable, other participants.
8. Intellectual property
All curriculum materials, worksheets, session frameworks, and website content produced by Kintsugi remain the intellectual property of Kintsugi. Participation in a programme does not transfer any ownership rights over these materials.
9. Limitation of liability
Kintsugi's liability to any participant is limited to the amount paid for the relevant programme. We are not liable for:
- Any financial decisions made by a participant following a programme
- Any outcomes resulting from the application of budgeting frameworks taught during sessions
- Any indirect, consequential, or incidental losses
- Technical disruptions to online or hybrid sessions outside our reasonable control
These terms do not exclude or limit any liability that cannot be excluded under Malaysian law.
10. Privacy and data
We handle participant data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. By enrolling in a programme, you acknowledge that we will process your personal data as described in that policy.
11. Amendments to these terms
Kintsugi may update these terms from time to time. The version in effect at the time of your enrolment applies to your participation. We will notify enrolled participants of material changes by email where practicable.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes arising from or relating to these terms shall be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.
